Do you have a kids program?

We sure do! Bully Blockers™ is our kids program starting at age 3 through 12. We offer Mat Minis (ages 3-5), Bully Blockers (ages 5 through 8), Bully Blockers (ages 8 through 12) and our invite-only Advanced Bully Blockers program (~8+). As long as your child can work comfortably together with another child in an "up close and personal" activity such as grappling, they're good to go!Focused kids ages 10+ are invited to try the Striking Fundamentals class. Youth participation is subject to instruction discretion for mat safety and focus.

Bully Blockers™ is a non-violent, self-defense program that instills in your child the confidence, awareness and ability to stand up for themselves.

The greatest value in martial arts training is not in learning how to fight, but rather in developing the best of your character and sharing it with others. To ensure that your child cultivates the highest level of discipline, integrity, and honor on their Jiu-Jitsu journeys, we have implemented our Mat Mindset Program. The 12-month program is comprised of six chapters. During each Jiu-Jitsu class we spend a few minutes discussing the featured character trait and point out the simple things they can do to “activate the trait” in their daily lives.

What  should I wear to my first class?

When you sign up and eventually come to class, simply wear something comfortable that you don't mind moving around in such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. A pair of flip flops is also a good idea in case you have to use the rest room and return to the mat.

Question 6

I know absolutely nothing. Do you have a beginners class for adults?

The Flow Foundations course (ages 13+) is our beginner program for adults. In this program, we take 16 courses to learn and drill foundational, self-defense techniques in a fun, safe, and cooperative environment. Each one-hour lesson addresses one standing and one ground self-defense technique, which are further broken down into simplified drills or “slices” to facilitate the learning process. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience and, since safety is our number one concern, there is no competitive sparring in this program.After your first stripe, eligible at 20 classes, you are eligible to come to the Advanced classes.​Members receive an attendance card so that progress can be tracked with transparency and structure.

Where are you located?

We're located at 6820 Race Track Rd in Bowie MD, 20715. In the Hilltop Plaza shopping center. It's the small door between the dry cleaners and the restaurant.

Can I bring my own gi?

Absolutely! We have a BYOG(i) policy! We discount the first month so that the cost of the gi is offset for new members.
