Do you have a kids program?

We sure do! Gracie Bullyproof® is our kids program starting at age 5 through 12. We offer Little Champs (ages 5 through 7), Jr Grapplers (ages 7 through 12) and our invite-only Black Belt Club (~10+). Gracie Jiu-Jitsu’s Bullyproof® system is a non-violent, self-defense program that instills in your child the confidence, awareness and ability to stand up for themselves. The greatest value in martial arts training is not in learning how to fight, but rather in developing the best of your character and sharing it with others. To ensure that your child cultivates the highest level of discipline, integrity, and honor on their Jiu-Jitsu journeys, we have implemented the Gracie Character Development Program. The 12-month program is comprised of six chapters. During each Jiu-Jitsu class we spend a few minutes discussing the featured character trait and point out the simple things they can do to “activate the trait” in their daily lives. What should I wear to my first class?

When you sign up and eventually come to class, simply wear something comfortable that you don't mind moving around in such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. A pair of flip flops is also a good idea in case you have to use the rest room and return to the mat. If you decide to stay on board after the trial, or break it early to get started, let us know and you can order a gi as we do require wearing either a Gracie University gi or a Bowie Jiu Jitsu Academy gi.
Do you offer a free trial?

Yes. We offer a 10 calendar day free trial. Within those 10 days, come to as many classes as you like to see if it's a good fit. If you stay on board after your trial, you can purchase a gi from us as we do require either a Gracie University gi or a Bowie Jiu-Jitsu Academy gi. If you find that we're not a good fit, no problem, just let us know and we'll close out the account. No money spent.
How long are your contracts and how much does it cost?

We don't have any! Long term contracts with hidden cancellation fees aren't our thing. We just ask for a 2 month notice should you have to cancel your membership. Click "Pricing" in the navigation bar to see our pricing and promotions!
I know absolutely nothing. Do you have a beginners class for adults?

Gracie Combatives® (ages 13+)! Gracie Combatives® is our beginner program for adults. In this program, you will learn the 36 core techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (also known as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or BJJ) in a fun, safe, and cooperative environment. Each one-hour lesson addresses one standing and one ground self-defense technique, which are further broken down into simplified drills or “slices” to facilitate the learning process. You can start the program at any time and participate in any class without previous experience and, since safety is our number one concern, there is no competitive sparring in this program. Upon successful completion of the Gracie Combatives program you will earn your Gracie Combatives Belt which will qualify you for advancement into the Master Cycle® program. Where are you located?

We're located at 6820 Race Track Rd in Bowie MD, 20715. In the Hilltop Plaza shopping center.
Can I bring my own gi?

During the trial period, absolutely! Once you become a full member we ask that you wear any Gracie University gi or a Bowie Jiu-Jitsu Academy gi.
